Two of the flyovers at the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange will be open to traffic this Friday, an official statement from government said.
President John Mahama will be present to declare the two flyovers ready for public use.
“The opening of the two flyovers for use by motorists is the fulfillment of yet another promise by HE John Dramani Mahama, who indicated at the sod cutting for the start of the project that on completion of the first phase, the road will be open to traffic,” a statement from the Flagstaff House said.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday Mahama will launch a process for the preparation of a long-term National Development Plan for Ghana.
It will be the first ever long-term development plan spanning a period of 40 years.
Mahama, who resumed work Monday after a one-week break, will this week also inaugurate a new tomato processing and packaging factory, and the completed Fufulso-Sawla road.
