Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan will sit out of a planned international friendly for the Black Stars against Canada on October 13.
Gyan is out of mainstream football action for two to three weeks after sustaining an hamstring injury last weekend.
The Shanghai SIPG striker played less than the full ninety minutes in his team’s 3-0 defeat against Guangzhou Evergrande in the Chinese League Saturday.
