2023 BECE: Francis Xavier Sosu Tours Exams Centres

Francis Xavier Sosu Member of Parliament (MP) for the Madina Constituency visited Basic Education
Certificate Examination (B. E. C. E) Centers within the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipality to
encourage them as they commence their exams.


B. E. C. E. Centers visited by Hon Francis Xavier Sosu included St. Augustus School at Otinibi,
Kweiman M. A School, Oyarifa Basic School, Mount Sinai School at Teiman and IPEL International
School at Pantang.


Hon. Sosu in his interactions with candidates encouraged them to be fearless as they commence
their exams and to put in their best so as to come out with flying colors.

“As you begin a very significant journey in your academic pursuit, it is important you note that, self
believe is a corner stone to success. I as your MP believe in you and your ability to be successful in
your BECE.” Sosu told the students.


He stated that, his outfit has introduced an award Scheme known as “Sosu Best B. E. C. E Candidate
Award” that will ensure that, the Best Performing 2023 B. E. C. E candidate in the Municipality will
receive a scholarship award for the Senior High School through to Tertiary Education.

He added that, the Best Performing Students in various subjects will also be awarded with other packages.
Most invigilators at the centers commended the MP for his inspirational messages to the candidates
which will motivate them to put in their best.


Some parents at the centers also lauded Francis Xavier Sosu for his continuous support to the
Education Sector in Madina whiles stating that, the Scholarship award is the first of its kind by a
Member of Parliament for the constituency.


The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) President for the Madina and Abokobi Zone
expressed appreciation to the MP for visiting the centers to inspire candidates and teachers as well.


He urged all invigilators to be professional and adhere to the West African Examination Council
(WAEC) code of conduct for the examination so as not to undermine the name of the teaching
profession through Examination Malpractice.


However most constituents have opine that, Hon Francis Xavier Sosu is transforming Madina
Constituency positively and must be rewarded with a second term to do more for Madina.
