A 16-year-old Nicholas Ntsu was one of three persons arrested in Tema after the Police and other agencies embarked on SIM box fraud swoop in Tema.
The two others are Selasi Dorfenyo 24,and Eric Agbanya, 30 both businessmen. The three are partners with a yet to be identified Lebanese national.
The three were arrested on July 7 in a joint operation which included the Police, the Telecommunication operators and Subah. This brings to 24 the number of arrests made in the last 7 months involved in SIM box fraud.

SIM box equipment, generators, computer accessories, SIM cards, and communication antennas were retrieved by the Police CID.
The exercise is part of the special SIM fraud triangulation project by the stakeholders and the Police CID to digitally locate and confiscate SIM boxes used in the illegal business.
A SIM box fraud is a setup in which fraudsters install SIM boxes with multiple low-cost prepaid SIM cards and terminate international calls through local phone numbers to make it appear as if the call is a local one.
