‘Jesus wouldn’t be riding a donkey’ – Louisiana Evangelist who wants $54M jet

A prosperity gospel televangelist is asking his followers to “pray about becoming a partner” to his mission of obtaining a $54 million private jet. The Louisiana-based ministry of Jesse Duplantis, 40, has already paid cash for three other private planes, but he says God told him, “I want you to believe in me for a Falcon 7X.” Duplantis is hoping to take the word of Jesus to new heights — with help from a $54 million private jet, CBS News’ Tony Dokoupil reports. Is religion holding Africa back?

I saw a video last week–of a pastor directing a stream of water into the faces of parishioners, from his mouth– for blessings! It was contemporaneously found by another vet, Joe Bob Sparks, on a battlefield in Europe. Sparks kept the Bible and brought it back to his home in Fort Worth, Texas, after the war. Sparks passed away in 2003 and the book was found by his nephew, Patrick Ickes, a Navy…

Church of Pentecost explains why it discourages use of anointing oil

The Church of Pentecost (COP) says it abhors the use of ‘anointing’ oil, because the practice is not in consonance with the ministry of Jesus Christ, the perfect example for Christians. “The Church of Pentecost believes that the use of oil in the Old Testament symbolises the Holy Spirit. Therefore, in as much as the Holy Spirit has been poured upon all believers, the use of oil either for divine healing or ordination is of no special value. Consequently, as a result of the many cases of the abuse of…
