MEDIA ACCREDITATION: ASAFA POWELL IN GHANA
Due to the large volume of requests for interviews and coverage of the above event, the Communications Directorate of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) will issue interested media persons with accreditation.
The accreditation will be issued to all interested journalists and news outlets who wish to cover the visit to Ghana of the Jamaican Olympian.
The Director of Communications at the GOC, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah revealed that some requests have come from beyond Ghana.
“We have received a lot of requests for access to Mr Powell. Aside from identification, the major purpose of this event accreditation is for controlled access to ensure that the right people have access to our distinguished guest and his entourage at the right time”.
Ampofo Ankrah added that this would also help to ensure that interviews are conducted in a calm orderly manner and security is maintained at all times.
