Security operatives on guard at President Mahama’s church, prevented what could have been a bloody Sunday after they found a loaded gun on a young man. The 36-old-man according to a statement from the Ministry of Communications, was “fidgety” and looked “suspicious.” President John Mahama and his family who worship at the Ringway Gospel Centre branch of the Assemblies of God Church were not in church this Sunday, according to the statement.
The man’s suspicious behaviour apparently gave him away as the security officers on duty whisked him away before he could cause any harm. Apart from the first family, other key government officials including the Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Woode attend the same church. According to the Communications Ministry, investigations are still ongoing.
