‘Dumsor’ hits Parliament again

Parliament has been hit with the erratic power supply known in local parlance as dumsor leading to a suspension of sittings.

The entire Chamber according to Adom News’ Parliamentary correspondent, Abednego Asante Asiedu has been plunged into darkness.

He said the distraught Members of Parliament quickly moved out of the chamber due to the heat in the room.

Adomonline.com checks indicate the standby generator has no fuel to operate.

The Member of Parliament for Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem, Nana Ato Arthur who spoke to Adom News described the erratic power supply situation as unacceptable.

He underscored the need for the House to be briefed on the power situation in Parliament at their next sitting.

Nana Ato Arthur called for an investigation into the erratic supply of power in Parliament because this is the second time such a disgraceful incident has happened in less than six months.
