The 2016 Presidential Running mate of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, Mahamudu Bawumia, has left Ghana for Saudi Arabia, to attend this year’s Hajj.
Bawumia is joined on the trip by his wife Samira. They will join thousands of muslims who have gathered for the September 21-26, 2015 religious exercise.
He will use the exercise to offer special prayers for Ghana, a statement issued in Accra Sunday said.
The Hajj is one of the five pillars of the Islamic faith.
