Zico Ishaq Abubarkar Newton, a Development Practitioner and Director of Projects at Mother of All Nation visited Umar Bun Hatab Islamic Basic School within the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipality.
During the visit, King Zico as he is affectionately called interacted with about 100 BECE candidates.
He urged the students to learn hard and achieve good grade in the upcoming BECE.
He told them: how special and unique they are to be part of this year’s BECE. He added that at this point, it doesn’t matter the grades they mostly have in school, they can pass their exams if only they put in efforts and work hard towards it.
He advised each candidate to have a plan which must include expected grade they wish to obtain in order to motivate them to study more to achieve it.
In Simulation exercise each candidate was given a BECE certificate to write on grades they want to achieve. He tasked them to paste copies of the certificates at vantage points in their homes, books, notes etc to motivate them to commit to study for good results.
A ‘special’ poem called “The BECE Poem of Affirmation” was recited by each candidates to boost their confidence for the examination.
King Zico awarded the best performing 2022 BECE candidates of Umar Bun Hatab Islamic in the person of David Adenyo school who got grade 8 with a brand new laptop.
The Head teacher for Umar Bun Hatab Islamic school mentioned for the first time through effort of Mother of all Nations, the school have had a single digit grades.He commended Ziko for such initiative.
The awardee David Adenyo expressed appreciation for the laptop and motivated the student to also put in much effort to come out with flying colours.
