When it comes to chalking great success in the world of entertainment, rapper Sarkodie is no greenhorn.

For ten years, Michael Owusu Addo, who bears the moniker Sarkodie, has performed on some of the biggest platforms and won for himself a wide range of covetous awards.

According to him, these feats have been yoked with struggles and frustrations.

He says the environment in which we find ourselves as Africans is partly to blame for these insurmountable hurdles.

On that score, the rapper has encouraged the Ghanaian youth to take charge of their own destiny and drive it to their own destination.

“Growing up and maturing till now…We need to take things into our hands. We are actually lucky that it is not too flooded with people taking all the opportunities. We have more that we can explore,” he said.

Sarkodie made these comments when he addressed dignitaries and the press at the official unveiling of former President John Agyekum Kuffour as a patron of the Ghana Job Bank Initiative.

The BET award winner revealed that he is on a journey to help the new generation to find their feet.

“My next project is targeting the youth and re-arranging their mindset to take opportunities into their hands and make something for themselves,” he added.

Sarkodie said that his new campaign will urge the youth to be more productive towards the overall development of Ghana.
