Hiplife artiste Wisa Greid has pleaded not guilty for indecent exposure after he appeared in court on Wednesday, December 30.
According to the hiplife artiste born Eugene Ashie, what was seen on the live ‘Decemba 2 Rememba’ stage was part of his performance and not real.
These were advanced in the court presided over by Justice Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku by Wisa’s lawyer Jerry Avenogbor.
Wisa is facing a charge of gross indecent exposure after removing his manhood on December 24 during a live performance at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).
He was invited by the police and was granted a bail of GH¢80,000.
After the maiden hearing at the Accra Circuit Court, Mr Avenogbor told journalists that what was seen on stage was just a mere “perception” and could not have been real.
He described what patrons saw and what has been widely shared on social media as a “doodle”.
The case has been adjourned to Wednesday, January 13.
Wisa has since apologised for his action and has released an ‘I am sorry’ song to his fans.
Organisers of the ‘Decemba 2 Rememba’ concert Citi FM have also condemned the act and assured that measures have been taken to avoid such “irresponsible” acts in the future.
