Ghana’s high-flying music pair, Reggie N Bollie, who have gained instant world recognition is urging the dispirited not to give up in life.
The two, currently the hottest duo on the X-Factor music reality show in the UK, believe that there are always opportunities in the world for everyone.
With an almost dead music career and without any hope only last year, Reggie N Bollie have found their feet in the reality show with Simon Cowell singing their high praises and declaring his love for them.
Already in the semi-finals, Reggie N Bollie, who found their way into the UK, after rough patches in their music career in Ghana more than a decade ago, have now been tipped to win the competition.
The perks of such a reality show include meeting some of the biggest names in music.
On Thursday, the Ghanaian pair met legendary and multiple award-winning American artiste, Lionel Richie.
Reggie N Bollie, humbled by the meeting, urged those who have lost hope never to let their current situation erode their confidence and belief that the future can be better.
“Wowwww, We just had a time of our lives with Lionel Richie. If you ever think of giving up on life just remember us,” they said on Instagram.
Several Ghanaians, including Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Deputy Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Minister have been rooting for them.
Nana Akufo-Addo posted on Facebook, “I just spoke to Reggie ‘N’ Bollie. I wished them well in tonight’s ??XFactor show, and I hope they go all the way to the grand finale. Ghana is, indeed, proud of their exploits, in their showcasing of Ghanaian talent on the international stage. Godspeed and good luck to them.
The Deputy Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Minister also said “These Creative Arts Ambassadors are raising the flag high in the X Factor competition in the UK. They are loved and are doing very well.”
