The Northern Regional Police Command has intensified their search for assailants believed to be killers of a 25year-old man said to be either a student of the Bagabaga College of Education or the Tamale Senior High School.
The body of the deceased whose identity was immediately not known was found lying in the forest reserve between the above mentioned institutions.
The Police Regional PRO, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh, in an interview with Kasapafmonline.com said although no arrest has been made, they are living no stone unturned to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book.
Preliminary investigations, he noted, have revealed that the young man was shot dead at a close range.
“After examining the body we noticed there was a small cut in the ribs and upon further careful examining, we noticed a deep opening at the back, police only found a white handkerchief on the deceased,” Tamale Regional Police PRO, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh said in an interview with Kasapafmonline.com.
The body has been deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue for preservation.
