45-year old man, died instantly when his car was knocked down by a saloon car at Suhum yesterday.
An Eyewitnesses (Paa) told Daily View Gh driver of the Toyota mini bus with registration number GW 6029 X was drunk while driving , another vehicle on the three-lane-hill and ended up crashing into the side of the Burkinabe truck.
A team of police officers from the Suhum Division restored order and took the injured driver to a private hospital.

That portion of the highway has witnessed a number of accidents owing to excessive speeding.

The chief of the area Baffour Okyerefo Kwapong and the assembly member are said to have written numerous letters appealing to the Suhum Ghana Highway Authority and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Samuel Felicher Kwabi, to mount speed ramps on that section of the road to prevent accidents.
