One of the highlights of this year’s Asafotufiami Festival in Ada was beach soccer, thanks to a solid collaboration between the Ghana Football Association, Ada Traditional Council and iMAX Media home of Max TV.

The LIVE telecast of beach soccer matches from Otrokpey town beach has warmed the heart of Paramount Queen of the Ada Traditional Area Naana Kabukour Dagojo Dumaaley I.

The Queen delivered a special message of appreciation to the CEO of Max TV Mr Maxwell Techie and his management for their support and commitment to the coverage of sports in Ghana including women’s football and beach soccer.

“I would like to say a big thank you to Max TV for coming here to film over 3 hours of beach soccer and projecting the festival, the game and also youth of Ada. We are truly grateful and may it continue”

Naana Kabukour Dagojo Dumaaley I reiterated her message when she hosted the management of Beach Soccer at her residence in Ada.

The Queen has already thrown her weight behind the sand sport by adopting girls from local high schools in Ada to form Ghana’s first ever female Beach Soccer team christened
    DUMAALEY LADIES BSC.

She was accompanied by GFA President Kurt Okraku, Beach Soccer Chairman Yaw Ampofo Ankrah and Ambassador Nene Tetteh Ayiku Abordonu III.

Other notable personalities who witnessed the matches were former Youth & Sports Minister Hon Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, the District Chief Executive of Ada East Hon Sarah Dugbakie Pobee and CEO of Ada Assurance Maxwell Kpeglo.

The Ghana Beach Soccer Premier League matches concluded the sports celebrations of the Asafotufiami Festival in Ada.
