OBOUR, KOJO ANTWI, OTHERS VISIT AMAKYE DEDE AT KORLE-BU

Some leaders in the music industry have visited ace Highlife Singer Amakye Dede on his sick bed at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital in Accra on Sunday, January 3, 2016.

The delegation was made up of Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) President- Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour, Chairman of Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) Kojo Antwi, Highlife Musician Rex Omar, Music/Movie Producer Bandex, veteran Highlife Singer Obuoba J.A. Adofo among others.

After seeing the ‘Seeerious’ man who is still dealing the injuries sustained from the accident and the unfortunate death of his manager Isaac Yeboah, the delegation have revealed that Amakye is recovering steadily.

MUSIGA President Obour shared this on social media: “Visited Amakye Dede with other Giants in the Music Industry. He is recovering. We thank God in all things we give him praise. He knows best”.

Legendary highlife musician-Amakye Dede escaped death this Saturday morning December 2, 2016 when a car he was in with his manager was involved in a fatal accident—that killed the manager on the spot.

The manager – Isaac Yeboah has been the Editor for Ghana’s popular newspaper – P&P for many years, and he was a regular contributor to several showbiz radio programmes in Ghana, including Peace FM’s “Entertainment Review”.

According to reports, the gory accident took place at Bonsu Junction, a few meters away from Paradise resort. A vehicle is said to have crashed into a parked car Amakye Dede, his manager and bodyguard were in—with the manager dying on the spot and the two sustaining serious injuries.

Currently, Amakye Dede and the bodyguard are receiving medical care at a hospital.
