Kumasi Police arrest tanker full of wee

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested a tanker which was carrying 300 parcels of substance suspected to be Indian hemp.

The arrest was made Thursday dawn following a tip off that the water tanker which was heading to Kumasi from Kwame Danso in the Brong Ahafo region contained substances believed to be Indian Hemp.

Luv News’ Erastus Asare Donkor reported that reported that the driver of the vehicle, Kwabena Alex Nuhu together with his accomplice, Martin Gyamfi allegedly tried to bribe the police with GH¢10,000 when they were arrested.

In a related development, the Ashanti Regional Police Command has denied media reports suggesting it intercepted 82 kilograms of cocaine following arrests at Tinka Island in the Ashanti region.

The Ashanti regional Police on Wednesday embarked on a swoop which led to the arrest of the leader of a group believed to be using narcotic drugs in the Tinka Island in the Ashanti region.

Addressing a press conference earlier today, Ashanti regional Police commander, DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye said the substance rather contained 72.382 grams of heroin and 0.6896 grams of cocaine and not the 82 kilograms as reported by the media.
