Juliet Ibrahim fulfils promise to fans

Actress and musician, Juliet Ibrahim, fulfilled her promise to her fans by presenting a cash prize to winners of her “Sholala” dance competition which was launched last month.

The winners, Olaaluwa Badru and Jeffrey Fiifi Boamah of Nigeria and Ghana respectively, received $1000 each for emerging tops in their countries.

At a short ceremony held at the French Fingers Restaurant in East Legon on Wednesday, August 26, the Crime to Christ actress presented the cheque to the winner from Ghana. A week earlier, the same ceremony had taken place at the Oasis Medspa in Ikoyi, Lagos, where Olaaluwa Badru’s prize was presented to him.

Apart from the cash, winners of the competition would also be featured in the video of Sholala which is expected to be out before Christmas.

In an interview with the Daily Graphic after the ceremony on Wednesday, Juliet Ibrahim who has featured in movies such as Lost Desire, Yankee Boys, Restore My Love, Queen’s Bride, Enemy of My Soul and Number One Fan, said such competitions provided the means to give back to her fans.

“This is not the first time I have given prizes to my followers on social media. I always want to help the society and that inspired me to set up my foundation to help people suffering from kidney problems,” she stated.
