I’ll quit acting if Ayorkor Botchwey doesn’t apologize to actors – Christiana Awuni

The Foreign Affairs Minister whilst speaking at an NPP rally in Ayawaso West Wuogon to campaign for Lydia Alhassan, said: “parliament is for serious minded people and not people who have done some movies and think they are popular”.

In recent times it has been observed that many entertainers especially actors have decided to join politics to serve their people.

This comes after the Minister while campaigning for Lydia Alhassan in the Awayaso West Wuogon constituency took a swipe at Mr Dumelo.

She said Parliament is a serious place and business and not for people who have acted in some movies and think they are popular.

Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey is a Ghanaian politician. She was appointed by President of Ghana Nana Akuffo-Addo as Minister of Foreign Affairs on 10 January 2017.

Nevertheless, Kumawood actress, Christiana Awuni insists that the Minister must apologize for her comment. Speaking during an interview on Accra FM, Christiana said if Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey doesn’t do so she will quit acting.

“If she doesn’t apologise, it will affect us…. They will think NPP has no vision or mind,” she added.
