Hundreds of residents mostly supporters of the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) flooded the principal streets of Wa, the Upper West Regional capital, to welcome President Mahama into the region.
The president arrived Sunday evening to commence a two-day working visit to the region as part of plans to drum home his “Pursuing The Vision of A Better Ghana” agenda.
The hierarchy of the NDC in the region, parliamentary aspirants, opinion leaders and party faithful were among the hundreds that lined up the street to welcome the President.
The President was in the Upper East Region last week for a similar tour.
