One person died on Sunday and hundreds were also displaced after a heavy rainfall in parts of the Northern regional capital of Tamale.

The rain which started early Sunday poured heavily for about six hours and drenched many parts of the metropolis and led to the death of the elderly woman and rendered hundreds homeless.
