Ghana needs positive change – Nana Addo

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), says the country needs peaceful elections to ensure a positive change that would make life better for Ghanaians.
He said the NPP would therefore do all it can to help maintain peace and prevent any action that could potentially spark-off political violence or plunge the nation into war.

Nana Akufo-Addo called on the chiefs, religious bodies, civil society groups and other relevant organisations to do same.

He was addressing the chiefs and people of Gomoa Afransi in the Central Region to climax their Annual Akwambo festival.

Nana Addo was accompanied by Robert Kutin, Regional Chairman of NPP, Kwamena Duncan, Regional Secretary and other top executives of the party.

He said Ghanaians are expecting to see change in the 2016 elections and a positive of showing of the current fragile economy.

Nana Addo said if Ghanaians vote for him and the NPP, they will experience the manifestation of good governance, massive infrastructural development in the areas of education and health and better conditions

He promised the chiefs and people of Gomoa East and Gomoa West Districts that they would also benefit from good roads, quality health care and other development interventions.

Nana Addo called on the people to vote for Naana Eyiah Quansah, the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for Gomoa Central and Mr Alex Abban, a lawyer and candidate for Gomoa West.

He said the two candidates when given the the nod, would fast-track development in the area. The NPP Flag bearer donated GHc5,000 to the chiefs and people to support their developmental programmes.

Ogyedome Obranu Kwesi Atta, Chief of Gomoa Afransi appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to ensure that 2016 elections are held devoid of problems to enable Ghanaians to continue enjoy peace.

He recounted how former President Jerry John Rawlings and former President John Agyekum Kufuor handed over the government peacefully to another government in 2000 and 2008 and urged the current leaders to emulate that feat.
