Asumura is one of the oldest community within the newly created Ahafo Region. It is also part of the biggest Cocoa farming Area among the conurbations in the Asunafo North Constituency.
Asumura has been facing a lot of challenges on their economic activities due to the dilapidated state of their market which has been there over decades. It is so pathetic for traders to wallow in doom during raining season because of the bad nature of the market. This has been one of the burdens of the Traditional byword and traders.
The member of parliament for Asunafo North Constituency, Hon. Evans Opoku- Bobie has listen, paid heed and shown his full commitment in building an ultramodern market at Asumura.
There is going to be a lot of hard infrastructure at the new market like Washrooms, place of convenient, storage rooms, mechanised bore hole and others.
This will help it to meet national standard. He urged the people of Asumura to support the contractor to precipitate the work.
The construction of the market will also pave way for the youth and other people to get a temporary work in the process of the construction work. The youth were so excited and hailed the MP in a loudest voice.
Hon. Evans Opoku-Bobie commended the president of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his recondite vision in modernising the various market centers in the Country.
It is very imperative to note that Asumura road is under construction due to the unique lobbying skills of the first term member of parliament for Asunafo North, Hon. Bobie. “The construction of Asumura market and the road will surely facilitate and boost the economic activities and have a positive impact at the entire Ahafo Region.” He stressed.
He used the opportunity and emphasised on a spike that, under his leadership as the Ahafo Regional Minister, Most of the market centers in the Region shall be upgraded to help the people.
The opinion leaders and the community applauded Hon. Evans Opoku- Bobie for such great project. They encouraged him to keep on keeping on with his good works because they are poised to support him to sit on the parliamentary seat for a longer period. They expressed their happiness and were stunned for his great achievement in just two years as MP.
Hon. Bobiethanked them for recognising and appreciating his work. He was accompanied by the project consultant, the contractor, presiding member of Asunafo North Municipal,Hon. Jones Afriyie Anto, Mr Charles Boateng, Mr Asare and other important personalities.
