Hiplife musician Kwame A Plus has declared his intention to contest the chairmanship position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Gomoa Central in the Central Region.

According to him, his interest arises from the desire to understand grassroots politics.

The musician-turned-politician was vibrant on social media in the run up to the 2016 elections, expressing his distaste for the now opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) through music and campaigned strongly for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) then presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

A Plus has over the past week been in the media over corrupt allegations he levelled against the two deputy chiefs of staff, Mr Francis Asenso-Boakye and Samuel Abu Jinapor.
