President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Wednesday afternoon returned to Accra after a three-day visit to Equatorial Guinea.
The President was met on arrival by the Vice President, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

President Akufo-Addo’s delegation to Equitorial Guinea included the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, Minister of Energy, Mr Boakye Agarko, the Executive Secretary of the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante and a deputy chief of staff, Mr Francis Asenso Boakye.
The Minister of Energy Mr Boakye Agarko briefing the media said the visit by the president was significant especially considering the benefits both countries could derive from each other.
He mentioned that Ghana stands a greater chance of benefiting from the energy sector especially considering the challenges Ghana has had in the years before and added both presidents were ready to ensure a collaboration in the energy sector.
Mr Agarko was however hopeful that when this deal is achieved, Ghana’s energy issues will be solved and the cost of gas would be cheaper and reliable.
