Some eight workers at the ongoing Tamale Airport expansion project have been jailed while others have been dismissed for stealing and indiscipline.
Northern Regional Minister Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, made this known when addressing a gathering at this year’s International Youth Day Celebrations in the region.
The development he said was worrying, adding it’s surprising to learn that the same youthful population who complain of no jobs engage in such acts when given the opportunity.
The crimes range from siphoning of fuel to diverting bags of cement meant for the project. Others had to be sacked for sheer laziness.
