I’m saddened by JB Danquah’s death – Kufuor

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has described the death of Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu as a loss to the party since he was a real political gem in the country’s politics.

According to Kufuor, the death of the man who served as a Deputy Minister for Women and Children Affairs in his government came to him as a shock.

Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu was stabbed to death by an unknown assailant on early Tuesday morning at his residence at Shiashi in Accra.

Speaking to Citi News, former President Kufuor expressed condolences to the family of the late MP.

“I am so shocked by the sad story. I am very saddened by what has happened today and my heart goes out to the people and the bereaved family and all,” he said.

Parliament suspends sitting

Parliament was on Tuesday forced to adjourn sittings following the death of the MP.

The House adjourned sittings after the Minority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu moved the motion for the adjournment in honor of their colleague.

He explained that MPs were not in the right mode to do business in the House hence prayed the Speaker of Parliament to adjourn sitting.
