The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party [NPP] is accusing President John Dramani Mahama for the untimely death of Member of Parliament for the Abuakwa North Constituency in the Eastern Region, Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu.
The MP was stabbed by unknown assailant‘s’ in his home at Shiashie in Accra, Tuesday morning.
The police have snce picked up five people for questioning.
But Bernard Antwi Boasiako who is popularly called ‘Chairman Wontumi’ stated without any fear that – “We must blame President John Dramani Mahama for the death of JB Danquah.”
He explained that – the president showed disrespect by expressing his condolence to the bereaved family and the NPP via social media, Twitter.
The president tweeted at about 3:53pm Tuesday that he received the news of his friend’s murder with shock – “Received news of my friend Hon. J.B. Danquah Adu’s murder with shock. My heart goes out to his siblings, Frank etc, his wife & children.”
However, speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, Chairman Wontumi noted that – “President Mahama must issue a statement to address the sad issue. Using twitter to speak on such issue shows how unserious the president is.”
“Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu is not just an ordinary person, he is a member of parliament so he must be given such respect after his sudden death. Did president Mahama announce late President Mills’s death on twitter?” he questioned.
