X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez Versini caused a stir on Twitter after her excitable behaviour on the show left some viewers wondering if she was drunk on live TV.
Fans of the show bombarded the social networking site asking whether she had been boozing, while a stunned audience watched as the 32-year-old singer bounded up on stage to dance with her act Reggie ‘N’ Bollie during their performance, sang out her during her feedback comments and interrupted Simon Cowell.
However, sources close to the singer insist she was excited to have two of her acts left in the competition and was enjoying the fun atmosphere.

Last night a show insider insisted Cheryl had not been drinking, but was merely excited about the night. A source revealed: “Cheryl hadn’t had a drop of alcohol, she was just excited about the performance and is really passionate about her acts.
“She was in a particularly fun mood and had been laughing and joking with friends in her dressing room beforehand.
It was only in the heat of the moment that she decided to get up on stage and join Reggie ‘N” Bollie in their performance. It was a last minute decision and made great live TV.

“Cheryl has been doing the show for years now and understands there are times when it doesn’t have to be deadly serious and when to let her hair down.”
Cheryl has never been a big boozer, saying she likes the odd glass of red wine, but is aware it is bad for her skin.
Speaking in 2013 she said: “I like drinking red wine. And I do like the occasional cigarette.
“It’s bad, I’m aware of that. I put on extra serum. Alcohol is dehydrating for the skin.”
