The Black Stars of Ghana have been drawn against Egypt, Congo and Uganda in Africa’s final round of qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup competition in Group E.
Coach Avram Grant’s side will begin their quest for a fourth successive World Cup participation with a home fixture against Uganda in October, before taking on Egypt and Congo in that order.
Having drawn a bye in the first round of the qualifiers, Ghana picked a 2-0 aggregate victory over Comoros last November in the second phase to book their ticket to the third and final round.
The Black Stars faced Egypt in the playoff for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
A comprehensive 6-1 victory in the first leg at home in Kumasi made useless a 2-1 away defeat as the West Africans picked up a 7-3 aggregate triumph.
Meanwhile, Tunisia, Libya, Congo DR and Guinea make up Group A, while Group B consists of Algeria, Nigeria, Cameroon and Zambia.
Gabon, Mali, Cote d’Ivoire and Morocco fall in Group C, whereas Group D comprises South Africa, Cape Verde, Burkina Faso and Senegal.
The third round qualifiers run between October this year and November 2017.
The top side from each group qualify for the final tournament.
