Fire fighters are currently battling a large blaze at Vienna City, a night club and pub near the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra. The fire is reported to have started around 8:10 pm Thursday evening.
Fire fire tenders have responded to the fire outbreak but they are so far unable to put the fire out in part due to the windy conditions in the area at the moment.
Vienna City is right opposite the epicenter of the June 3 disaster that claimed hundreds of lives but of more concern is the fact that it is right adjacent another filling station.
www.dailyviewgh.com reporter Dan Kwasi Prince reported that the building has been completely destroyed by fire. “Thankfully there are no casualties,” Kwasi said, but there is still danger because the fire is spreading quickly because of alcohol and structure of the building.”
