A Winneba Magistrate Court has sentenced a 19-year-old unemployed man to 12 months imprisonment for stealing two nanny goats and a mobile phone.
Nyarko pleaded guilty on both counts when he appeared before the court, presided over by Mr Isaac Oheneba Kuffuor.
He was subsequently sentenced to serve a 12-month jail term.
The facts of the case as presented by Inspector Peter Agbelie were that on October 7, 2016 at about 2:30 a.m., Samuel Larbi, the complainant in the case, was returning home after watching TV at a drinking spot in the area when he spotted Nyarko coming out of Aunty Aba’s goat pen with a sack on his shoulder.

The prosecutor said Larbi raised an alarm and Nyarko was chased and eventually arrested.
