Two suspected cases of the novel Coronavirus have been reported at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH).
The two, a Chinese and an Argentine, reported to the facility on Wednesday evening with symptoms of the virus which has claimed more than 400 lives in China.
The Director of Medical Affairs at the KBTH, Dr Ali Samba, in a radio interview on Accra-based Peace FM, confirmed the cases, adding that, blood samples of the two have been taken to the Noguchi Medical Research Institute for testing.
He said, the results of the samples are expected today.
According to him, the two have also been quarantined at the facility.
He further urged the public to remain calm as they await results from Noguchi.
