An accident involving a Mitsubishi 4×4 and a Nissan taxi cab occurred on the Akropong-Mampong road last Sunday. There were no casualties.
The accident occurred when the driver of the taxi from Aburi to Mampong lost control and drove his car into the Mitsubishi, with registration number GC 9330-11, which was going in the opposite direction.
According to an eyewitness, the taxi driver was speaking on phone just before the accident occurred.
The taxi driver who appeared to be intoxicated bolted.
At the time of filing this report, the police were still investigating the incident and the two vehicles had been towed to the police station.
