Tudec Development Centre (TUDEC) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) have partnered with Time to Help e.v, a non-profit organisation based in Germany in the distribution of parcels of meat to thousands of Ghanaians to mark the yearly Eid-Al-Adha at a ceremony in Accra.

Speaking to the media during the exercise, the Principal for Galaxy International School (Preschool Primary), Mr. Mustapha Kaya said the gesture is demonstrated on the grounds of humanitarianism as 480 cows were slaughtered to people of all ethnic groups as well as under privilege in the society.

According to him, the slaughtering exercise was not only done in Accra, but extended to Kumasi, Cape Coast, Tamale, Takoradi and its surroundings adding that during the celebration of the Eid-Al-Adha, Muslims across the world show compassion and good neighbourliness to the society and communities.
“Muslims according to Islamic tradition slaughter cows and share it with all and sundry”, he said and explained that the festival ensures that those who are not able to afford is given sufficient meat during the annual celebration,” Mr. Mustapha Kaya said.
The Principal disclosed that the Association over the years have engaged in various humanitarian activities across the country and continue to demonstrate its core values and principles of love, tolerance and peaceful co-existence in every human endeavour.

In an interview with beneficiaries of the meat, they expressed their joy and gratitude to the Association for their continuous distribution of meat for the celebration of the annual festival saying they have counted on TUDEC over the past years.
According to them TUDEC have exhibited love, care and compassion to the needy in the spirit of giving and have also in turn given part of the meat to other families.
