The Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DVVSU) of the Eastern Regional Police Command have arrested two suspects for allegedly fingering a nine year old girl.
The two are Alfred Padi Mensah, 67, a toilet operator,and Daniel Zuaza, 27 year old driver, both residents of Koforidua.
Speaking to Kasapa News, the deputy Public Relations Officer of Eastern Regional Police Command, Sgt.Gideon Boateng explained that on October 8, 2015 at about 9:30am, the victim went to public toilet to attend to nature’s call.
Alfred Padi Mensah who was on duty at the public toilet, he noted, allegedly lured the victim to the children female block and inserted his fingers into her virgina.
On October 11 at about 9pm, the victim experienced same ordeal by a taxi driver, Daniel Dzuaza, who sent her to buy him matches.
“The driver took her to an uncompleted school block and allegedly inserted his fingers into the private part of the 9year old girl,” the Police Officer narrated.
The case, he added, was reported to the Koforidua DOVVSU where they were arrested for questioning.
They are currently being processed for court.
