A three-storey building at the Dunkirk area near the Asafo interchange at Fante New Town in Kumasi is sinking and could collapse.
The building was detected sinking at dawn on Wednesday and according to the Ashanti Regional NADMO Coordinator, Mr Kwabena Nsenkyire, the building has sunk dangerously for more than a metre.
“We have called the Police to come in and assist in protecting lives and property. We are not aware of any casualties and injuries yet,” Mr Nsenkyire said and added, “we are still around the area and will inform the public on other developments.”
The building has since been cordoned off.
