Two middle-aged women and an eight year old girl died after a mud house collapsed on them at Kissi Kwahenkrom in the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abirem District of the Central Region on Thursday.
The unfortunate incident happened at about 3:30pm while the three were said to be standing near the wall of the mud house when it suddenly collapsed, killing the girl on the spot.
One of the women died on the way to the hospital while the other died a few minutes on arrival. The incident threw the entire Kissi Kwahenkrom into a state of shock and grief.
The Municipal Police Commander for KEEA, Superintendent Godfred Asare confirmed the incident but refused to comment saying the family was in deep grief.
