Rapper Sarkodie was invited for question by The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Police Service on Wednesday, October 7.
The rapper was picked up by the police when he went to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) in Accra to register an Infinity car they said had been reported stolen.
ASP Joseph Obinifo Darkwah, Public Relations Officer of the CID, who confirmed the arrest said the rapper has been granted bail and is assisting the police with investigations.
Hours after the reports of Sarkodie trying to register a stolen car went viral, the guy who sold the car to Sarkodie has come out to give full details on how the incident happened. According to Doste Dee who made the narration known on instagram, Sarkodie did not buy a stolen product.
