Media personality and news editor at GhOne TV, Nana Aba Anamoah has expressed contempt at the politicisation of projects by leaders in the country.
Reacting to President Akufo-Addo’s assertions about his predecessor’s exploits while on tour in the Volta region, Nana Aba condemned his actions describing them as unnecessary.
She lamented the back and forth approach and recycling of ‘errors’ adopted by the two main political parties.
The outspoken media personality chided the president for going all the way to the Volta region to take the center stage to highlight the inefficiencies and mistakes of former President Mahama.
Instead, Nana Aba noted that Akufo-Addo should have shed light on progress and solutions to problems he had brought in the region alone.
“…the President should be telling us exactly how many jobs he has created in the Volta region alone. He should be telling us the numbers he’s added on in the Volta region alone. He shouldn’t be reminding us of what John Mahama did or didn’t do, said or hasn’t said, we are not interested in that. There are problems in the Volta region. He should be telling us of what he has done to address those problems. We don’t want him to be telling us about John Mahama. We already know what John Mahama did and didn’t do, we don’t need him to remind us…” she exclaimed.
The opposition NDC on Tuesday, November 5 during a press conference, released a list of appointees in the Akufo-Addo led administration they described as family and friends.
The list, comprising of 50 individuals according to the National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi revealed the presence of the entire nuclear family members of private legal practitioner, Nana Asante Bediatuo, who according to reports is a relative to the president.
But reacting to the list, Nana Aba Anamoah stated that both the NPP and the NDC are taking Ghanaian voters for fools as far as cronyism and nepotism is concerned.
I think that Ghanaians should wake up and smell the coffee. I think these two political parties are taking us for a ride, they are taking us for granted…they have done it for so long,” she added.
