The National Organizer for the New Patriotic Party ( NPP), Sammy Awuku says the party will use its gains during the fight against COVID-19 for as a major campaign message because it will go down in history as one of its biggest achievement.
According to him, if the NPP fail at the fight against COVID-19, the NDC will trumpet it to every corner of the country so there is the need to also ring it into the ears of Ghanaians when the fight is won.
“Even when government has chalked successes in the fight and world leaders are applauding the President for his work on Coronavirus, the NDC claims we have failed. The NDC is using that narrative. Look at how they are talking about the initiative of feeding the vulnerable so when its time for campaign and we go to Ghanaians we will use our strides to ask them to give us power”. He observed.
On the fight against COVID-19, Sammy Awuku stated that the President’s major key has been his listening attitude.
He revealed that the Medical experts have attested to the fact that he pays heed to their advice and direction and that has sustained Ghana and prevented the country from recording higher deaths and a few new cases of the deadly virus.
The organizer of Ghana’s biggest political party noted that COVID-19 has distorted the plans of the New Patriotic Party and made them lose a lot of money. However, he believes that the country needs to be healed and that the country comes first before any other thing.
