President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has indicated that Ghana’s local rice has grown in popularity and has become the preferred choice in many Ghanaian homes.
The president made this know at the last State of the Nation Address of the 7th Parliament of Ghana’s Fourth Republic.
He further stated that the policy has been productive and has helped to bring abundant food in the various markets.
Akufo-Addo said this when he delivered his last State of the Nation Address (SONA) of his first term on Tuesday, January 4, 2021.
Touting the achievements made in the past four years, the President was hopeful that the progress to be brought on by the strides made in education will secure the future of the Ghanaian child.
He said due to the growth in the agriculture sector, Ghana was able to provide food to its citizens during the height of the Coronavirus in the country.
