Hiplife artiste, Screw Face, will be the toast of many music lovers in Winneba when he mounts the stage to dish out some of his popular songs such as Bue and Gbalagaza at the Run Off Restaurant on Saturday, May 7.

The show which is part of a series of activities to mark this year’s Aboakyer festival which comes off from May 2-8, will also feature Kofi B and other artistes from the area.

Screw Face has not been active on the music scene for sometime but he told Showbiz that he is prepared to give his people back home a good treat.

“I come from the Central Region and this is a good opportunity to give my family there some good performances from me. I have been looking forward to this opportunity and I know it will be worth it,” he stated.

The annual Aboakyer festival is celebrated by the Effutus and it is to commemorate the migration of ‘Simpafo’; the traditional name given to the people of Winneba.

According to Nyce Media, organisers of the show, there would be a massive parade of deities by the two Asafo companies, the deer hunting, processions in addition to a football competition being hosted by Winneba United.

At a recent press conference to launch the events for the festival, the Chief Executive Officer of Nyce Media, James Kofi Annan, said, “although the Aboakyer festival faced some challenges in the past year, we are poised to rebrand the festival to promote development and attract over one million patrons”.
