NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Klottey Korle constituencyin the 2016 elections Zanetor Rawlings, last weekend joined some party faithful to clean the Kwame Nkrumah Circle and its environs.
Miss Rawlings joined the group to observe National Sanitation Day in the Greater Accra Region and also to commemorate victims of the June 3, 2015 twin disaster.
“People cannot just drop waste in the nearby Korle Lagoon and expect disaster-free rains.
“I am therefore here to join people in the constituency to desilt choked gutters and clean the environment to show the way that disasters are preventable.
“As a medical doctor, i am also aware of the effects of malaria and water borne diseases such as cholera and diarrhoea on the people,” she said.
