President Nana Addo Dankwa-Akufo-Addo on Friday morning visited Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings to console the family on the death of former President Jerry John Rawlings.
The visit comes after the President was officially informed of the death of former President Jerry John Rawlings on Thursday.
The President was accompanied by his chief of Staff Akosua Frema Opare and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, as well as other top New Patriotic Party (NPP) officials.
Ex-President Rawlings died yesterday, November 12, 2020, at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness.
It comes weeks after the passing of his mother.

Jerry John Rawlings was born Jerry Rawlings John on 22 June 1947 in Accra, Ghana, to Victoria Agbotui, an Ewe from Dzelukope, Keta, and James Ramsey John, a Chemist from Castle Douglas in Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.
