NIGERIAN media personality Uti Nwachukwu has jumped to Burna Boy’s defence after the singer was dragged on Twitter for bragging.
Burna Boy had said that he was the best artiste in Nigeria and also on the African continent.
The artiste also claimed that the future of the continent depended on his strength and resilience.
Social media users descended heavily on the Nigerian singer for making such comments.
However, Uti Nwachukwu said people should show gratitude to Burna Boy for putting some respect on Nigeria’s image internationally.
“We should actually thank @burnaboy for putting RESPECT on our name internationally!! Especially at times like these where we have very little to brag about as a country! Entertainment has been our saving grace in recent times! PUT SOME RESPECT ON HIS NAME!! HE FREAKING EARNED IT!”, he tweeted.

Uti Nwachukwu also wondered why people have a problem when others blow their own trumpet.
