The suspended General-Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has called for reflection as the country mourns the death of the late NPP Chairman, Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey.

Mr. Lamptey, aged 70, passed away early Sunday morning in London after battling ill-health.

“Those of us who had the privilege of working with him both in private and public life knew him to be a family man, very meticulous, selfless and dedicated to serving our tradition and nation.”

The suspended NPP General Secretary also called on Ghanaians to emulate his contributions to Ghana and the NPP.

“In this our moment of grief, let us reflect on our individual lives and emulate his immeasurable contributions to our party and beloved country.”

He further extended his deepest and sincere condolences to Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey’s widow, Esther, the rest of his family and all members of the NPP.
