The casket containing the body of Hajia Abiba Nnaba, the mother of President John Dramani Mahama arrived on board an Air Force plane at Busunu, in the West Gonja District of the Northern Region for the burial ceremony Friday morning.
The body was received by the chiefs and elders of Busunu and was later conveyed in a waiting ambulance to the Busunu chief’s palace and was received by a representative of the Busunuwura Nugbaso 11, Sedanpewura Kwaja.
Information gathered at the funeral grounds indicated that the body would be kept at the family house till 1pm after the Friday Jumah Prayers of the Moslems before the late Madam Nnaba is laid to rest.
President Mahama is however yet to arrive at the funeral grounds, Graphic Online’s Samuel Doudo reported.
Hajia Nnaba, the Mother of President Mahama passed on last Tuesday at the Trust Hospital in Accra.
