In a heartfelt recognition, approximately 140 dedicated individuals at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital) are now proud recipients of Presidential Awards, bestowed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
These awards stand as a testament to their unwavering commitment and outstanding contributions in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The prestigious awards encompass a diverse range of roles, including nurses, midwives, doctors, radiographers, pharmacists, nutrition officers, laboratory technicians, drivers, electricians, and laundry attendants.
Each awardee was presented with a certificate of recognition, personally signed by President Nana Akuffo-Addo, symbolizing the nation’s gratitude for their exceptional service.
Dr. Emmanuel K. Srofenyoh, the Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ridge Hospital, took center stage in presenting these honors on behalf of the President. During a brief ceremony in the hospital conference room, Dr. Srofenyoh emphasized that these certificates represent a national acknowledgment of the sacrifices made by frontline workers who exhibited diligence in their various roles to safeguard lives during the pandemic.
He reiterated that the gesture goes beyond monetary value, underlining the government’s deep appreciation for the dedication displayed by these healthcare heroes.
